Bali day 2

My Bali trip day 2 :)
I am not in the mood of blogging so I just will let the pictures tell for today.

Seminyak square that we stopped by on the way finding the hotel

we were lost and spent 2 hours on the car trying to find the hotel we'd stay. Blame the bad GPS lol

After checking in, my brother, his gf and I went to a new hotel nearby called W.

W, I dunno what it stands for...

Purple vespa for rent

Batik eggs :D

I'm wearing batik dress, by My Batik. it is made for order and if you are interested, let me know (Indonesia & Japan only)

The W hotel has a really nice beach on the back, but too bad it's too dangerous to swim there.

We went back afterwards to take a rest and catch the sunset on the beach behind our hotel.

I remember staying in the same hotel 3 years ago and they didn't have this comfy sandbag  gazebo

Colorful beautiful view

continuing reading my Haruki Murakami's book

Slowly, it comes the sunset...

The sunset was indeed breathtaking, the view was better than yesterday's and it was peaceful and calming to watch the sun goes down.

Bali night road, the M signs reminds me of Mos butger, but it's just a Mini mart sign.

I'm going to Thailand tomorrow for 5 days. To be honest, I am so tired these days that I am not looking forward for the trip. Maybe I am just having the moment when I want to be alone. I wish I could just pack my things and went back to Japan tomorrow, back to my little cozy room, back to live alone. It's good to be here but it's also good to live there too. If you ask me where I like to live in the best, seriously I can't choose. There is always good and bad sides of everything. But I definitely would like to live in Japan as long as could.

I might have been thinking too much after reading Haruki Murakami's Kafka on the Shore. It is the 3rd Murakami's book that I read and so far probably my favorite (I haven't finished it so I can't decide it yet). It's magical but in different way with Harry Potter's. It's simply beautiful with many philosophical quotes written that make me think. The other two books I've read are Norwegian Woods and After Dark. I can see how the protagonists are kinda alike, lonely and in search of something. 9 more chapters and hopefully I can finish it tonight :)

Bali day 1

I came back from my shortest Bali holiday ever this morning (3D2N). I was kinda surprised to see how Bali has developed since my latest visit. There are more hotels and restaurants. The road along Legian and Seminyak which is full with many cute creative shops and cafes reminds me a lot with Harajuku's cat street / Shimokitazawa :) Bali is awesome!

From the plane. My flight was early in the morning, I only had an hour sleep before heading to the airport at 4.15AM

Legian beach behind the hotel I stayed

beautiful dog

A cute shitzu puppy. My mom had a conversation with the guy who keeps it and he said that the owner is a foreigner who left  somewhere and he pays him to keep his dog.

I read Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami at the hotel's yard. A perfect tittle to be read in Bali. I'm in the middle of the book now, very interesting indeed!

Almost all Balinese believe in Hinduism

I was so sleepy that I went back to the room and slept my noon away...

I went to the beach again to see the sunset. Seriously the view was just breathtaking. The sky and sea are so board, wide and seem endless. Look like they have no end. Nature is amazing.

A really cute toddler playing around

I was alone so self camera time ;)

The sun set and it started to get dark

I love the colorful surfing boards :D

Had pizza for dinner!

Bali in less than 6 hours

I'm leaving to Bali early in the morning :) This is going to be a really short 2 day trip since this is actually not a holiday, I am just tagging along my brother who was invited to her friend's wedding there.

It has been a long time since the last time I went to Bali. The last time I was there was in 2009 for our own graduation trip with my classmates from senior year. We even missed the graduation ceremony at school because of this trip :) and bellow are some pictures of Bali taken by my lomo cameras. (Fish eye & Super sampler with slides chromes)

I love taking pictures with film cameras. I love how I can't see what I take. I love how I always remember every single shot that I take. I love the color of the photos. The only thing I hate is how expensive it is to develop them especially slides films, plus I can't find any lab who can do film scanning here :(
